FAQs
Stretching or corrective exercise?
-
Stretching & flexibility is about focuses on flexibility, mobility and improving your range of movement.
-
Corrective exercise is about going deeper with strengthening, stability and movement work to create more lasting change.
Not sure which you need? That's okay, I'll help you work that out.
Are stretching & flexibility sessions painful?
No. A stretching session isn’t about forcing your body into uncomfortable positions or seeing how far you can stretch.
Everything is adapted to you and your current range of movement. You may feel a stretch or some tension as we work, but the aim is to help you move more comfortably, not to put you through a painful session.
Do I need to be fit before starting Personal Training?
Not at all. Personal Training is built around your current ability, goals and confidence level.
Whether you’re completely new to exercise, returning after some time away or already active but looking for more structure, we’ll start from where you are.
Where do sessions take place?
Face-to-face sessions take place at the gym in Rochford. Some services can also be delivered online or at your home where appropriate.
Can I book just one Corrective Exercise session?
Yes. Individual sessions are available at £35 per hour.
For postural or movement issues, I generally recommend the six-week programme because it gives us enough time to work towards meaningful change.
Do you offer online sessions?
Some support can be provided online like the Stretching & Mobility service, and Nutrition Coaching one.
If you’re unsure whether the service you’re interested in would work online, just get in touch and we can discuss what would be most appropriate.
Is the Nutrition Coaching a strict diet plan?
No. The focus is on realistic, sustainable changes that fit into everyday life, rather than cutting out everything you enjoy or following an extreme diet.
We’ll look at what you currently eat, your routine, preferences and goals, then build healthier habits that you can realistically maintain.
